The Guntersville Museum features a wide range of changing exhibits from the area's rich Native American history to paintings by local artists. Photographs and artifacts associated with the creation of Guntersville Lake by TVA in 1939, and a tribute to local veterans are also featured. An exhibit is also devoted to the Wyeths, our area's most notable family. The museum is located in the 1936 National Guard Army, which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Admission is free

Mountain Valley Arts Council is often called MVAC by locals since it has been a local fixture for over 50 years.  Our volunteer board and members curate art exhibits of local artists' work in several locations, host art workshops for kids of all ages, host in-person and online art talks, organize free concerts in the spring and fall, 4th of July, and the holidays, and collaborate with other organizations throughout Marshall County, AL to nurture the arts.
