Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama

Established as a private non-profit by the federal government in 1965, the Community Action Agency was designed to combat poverty in our geographical area. We seek to involve the entire community in assessing local needs and reducing poverty. We focus available resources to assist low-income families, and our goal is to help individuals acquire useful skills and provide opportunities for people to become economically self-sufficient.

Community Action Agency of Northeast Alabama is now offering a new program called GROW (Gaining Resources, Opportunity and Wellbeing). The program's primary goal is to help clients become self-sufficient through educational, employment, housing and income management assistance, along with direct aid services.
