Family Services of North Alabama

Family Services of North Alabama is an organization that aims to strengthen families and restore hope and dignity to individuals by empowering them through advocacy, education and resource networking. They offer various services such as 24-hour crisis line response, sexual assault support advocacy and specially trained Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners to provide forensic exams and interviews for victims. They also provide education and prevention programs for sexual violence, healthy relationships and workforce education and development. Their A-RESET program aims to help SNAP recipients meet work requirements by providing skills, training, education or work experiences to become more self-sufficient. Family Services of North Alabama offers several services to assist individuals in job search, making personal connections with possible employers and managing their case. They also provide reimbursements for things needed such as GED classes/prep classes, English Second Language classes, Ready To Work certificates, referral to drug treatment, job skills training, resume-building and employment search services.
